On March 23, 2016, Sarah Griffin volunteered at a clothing drive to benefit HomeFront, coordinated by Cranbury's L'Oreal Give Back Committee. She helped by picking up clothing and signs at their location and dropping them off at HomeFront.
This cause is close to Sarah's heart because she has a friend that was evicted this summer.
"She and her family lived in a motel for several months", says Sarah. "It was a very scary time for them. It made me realize that homelessness can happen to anyone."
Sarah loved meeting the L'Oreal employees. She says they were generous, kind, and so excited for her to be in Miss Amazing. She also enjoyed delivering clothing to HomeFront because she knows that they will be put to good use and will help so many people.
Sarah says, "With winning Miss Amazing Jr Teen NJ, it felt like an opportunity to do something to help. HomeFront is a great organization in my area that is dedicated to helping homeless or near homeless. I want to help them make a difference."
